History
Since 2001, Council for Life has grown to over 5,000 members and raised more than $16 million for life-affirming causes. Council for Life provides a nexus between the resources and needs as they relate to unplanned pregnancies. We have funded 80+ agencies that benefit women, men, and youth through pregnancy resource centers, adoption and foster care, maternity homes, youth mentoring, parenting and life skills education, post-abortion counseling, sexual risk avoidance, parents who have chosen to carry their unborn child after receiving a life-limiting diagnosis and targeted media outreach campaigns.
Our mission is to educate and equip women, men, and youth to make life-affirming decisions. We celebrate Life in all we do.
The annual, sold-out Celebrating Life Luncheon raises hundreds of thousands of dollars that benefit life-affirming agencies around the DFW Metroplex. Other smaller events help to spread a message of hope, dignity and grace.
Program accomplishments
Since 2001, Council for Life has given over $12 million to more than 70 local nonprofit life-affirming agencies that cover the spectrum of the complex issues surrounding unplanned pregnancies: Pregnancy Resource Centers, Adoption and Foster Care, Maternity Homes, Post-Abortion Healing, Support for Families Choosing to Carry a Baby with a Life-Limiting Diagnosis, Youth Education and Mentoring and Targeted Media Outreach. As we celebrate our 23 years, we look forward to continuing to promote a culture of life with far-reaching, sustaining impact.
