History

Since 1983, Metro Christian Academy has partnered with families and their children by providing an interdenominational, Christ-centered, college-preparatory education. For the past forty years, Metro has educated and shepherded over 3,000 Patriots to take their place in our homes, churches, businesses and corporations, and communities - near and far. To preserve this rich heritage, the Metro Christian Academy Foundation was established in 2005.

The mission of Metro Christian Academy's Foundation is to provide resources to further the vision of Metro Christian Academy through fundraising, community relations, and sound advisement. The Metro Foundation, is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization bringing parents, alumni, small businesses, and corporations together to support Metro Christian Academy and its students. Gifts to the foundation endowments create a sustained benefit to the programs and passions of our Metro patrons. These gifts come in many forms - whether a one-time donation, an ongoing annual pledge, gifts of stock, or even a planned legacy gift through a will or trust. The foundation endowments are critical for Metro, not only to protect and preserve Metro's commitment to the pursuit of excellence through Christ, but likewise for financial stability and independence. For Metro students and their parents, the foundation endowments support affordability by enhancing academic programming and offsetting the annual operating cost - without raising tuition or sacrificing the quality of the Metro Christian Academy experience.

Since 2005, the Foundation's endowment fund has provided over $1.4M (approximately $125K per year) in support to Metro Christian Academy. The endowment fund makes an annual contribution to the school for tuition assistance, staff professional development, support of the Patriot Resource Center, general operating expenses, as well as building and ground maintenance projects.

Many gifts, including gifts of property, life insurance or securities contributed over the years have been given in loving memory or honor of a friend or relative or as a result of someone's dedication and commitment to Metro Christian Academy. These gifts continue to be a source of blessing to Metro and help provide quality Christian education for all of our students.
