Mission statement
Our mission is to make it possible for clusters of churches to multiply Christ-like disciples and locally-sustainable fellowships among least-reached people.
Statement of faith
As grateful recipients of God's grace, we always seek to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God (Micah 6:8). In each area of responsibility, we want to seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Our theological understandings are consistent with the Lausanne Covenant and the Manila Manifesto.

History
Global Disciples began with a growing request from church leaders around the world. As founder Galen Burkholder served alongside churches across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, he heard the same question again and again: "Could you help us train our own people?"
Churches weren't asking others to reach their communities for them. They wanted to equip and send their own people to make disciples among the least-reached. That request sparked a new vision for global missions: strengthen local churches so they can reach the people God has already placed around them.
A day of prayer changed what came next. In November 1995, five leaders gathered in a small prayer cottage to seek God together over the growing request for discipleship-mission training. Out of that day of prayer and a renewed commitment to collaboration, Global Disciples was born.
