Mission statement
To share God's love by responding to disaster, empowering community development, and creating World Change through hands on involvement.
Statement of faith
The following statements are based on our understanding and interpretation of biblical truths.
1. We believe that there is only one holy God, Who created all things, is perfect and eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6.
2. We believe that the Bible is the only infallible and authoritative Word of God, fully inspired and written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1-20:21
3. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe He lived a sinless life, in His atoning death by His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father.
Matthew 1:23; Acts 1:11 and 2:22-24; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4.
4. We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation, but that through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, those who repent of their sins and trust Him as savior can be rescued, reconciled, and renewed by the Holy Spirit.
Luke 24:46-47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:10-11; Ephesians 1:7 and 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7.
5. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is a helper, teacher, and guide, enabling us to live a godly life.
Acts 1:8 and 4:31; Romans 8:9; Galatians 5:16-18.
6. We believe in the universal Church, a unified living spiritual body of which Christ is the head of all believers in Jesus Christ with equality among races, gender and class differences, that has the primary task of spreading the gospel to a lost world.
1 Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22-23.
7. We believe the Great Commission involves both deeds of compassion and verbally sharing the gospel with people who do not know Jesus and inviting them into a personal relationship with Him.
Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15; 1 Peter 3:15.
8. We believe God created humans in His own image and instituted monogamous marriage exclusively between one genetic male and one genetic female as the foundation of the family and human society and that all people are worthy of dignity and respect.
Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Matthew 22:37-39: Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.
9. We believe in the sanctity of life and that human life is sacred and created by God from conception to its natural end.
Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5.
