Statement of faith
The Bible-We affirm the Bible as the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God and the absolute reference point for every aspect of life and ministry.
The Trinity-We affirm the Trinity; God eternally exists as one God in three persons and that each member of the Godhead, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, are all fully and equally God.
Salvation-We reject universalism and the idea that all roads and religions lead to God and/or heaven. We believe Jesus is the only way, only truth, and only life, and that salvation can only come through believing in Him.
Sexuality-We believe in a historic, biblical sexual ethic; that sex and all sexual acts are something that God created for a biological man and a biological woman within the context of marriage; that all sexual immorality is not God's design, including all forms of lust, pornography, pedophilia, adultery, sexual acts outside of marriage, orgies, prostitution, sexual acts with the same gender, and forcing sex on another person.
Biblical Justice -We hold a biblical view of justice and reconciliation. We believe in caring for the oppressed, poor, marginalized, and refugees with active good works and sharing the Gospel so that each one has the opportunity to live the life God intends them to live.
Women in Ministry-We believe that the scriptures proclaim the role of women being gifted, able to lead, and hold any position of leadership when called and anointed by God.
We believe in the Apostles' Creed:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord,
conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended to the dead and on the third day He rose again.
He ascended into Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father.
He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The Christian church
the communion of saints
the forgiveness of sins
the resurrection of the body
and life everlasting. Amen.
