Summary
We empower believers to follow the Holy Spirit's calling in their lives. Instead of telling people where or how to do their ministry, we equip missionaries to be effective serving wherever God calls them using the gifting and talents He has given them. As an interdenominational organization, we do not place a restriction on denomination and believe all in Christ are called to be on mission with Him.
We have a dedicated team of support professionals who provide critical care for all of our missionaries. Global Outreach provides a platform for each missionary to raise support, and our 100% pass-through policy means that missionaries receive 100% of every dollar donated to them. We take care of the financial accounting and provide the care the missionary needs to stay healthy on the field at no cost to them.

Purpose
We believe the church is the sending organization for missionaries, and we are here to back them up. We value the relationship between the missionary and their church and partner alongside them to bridge connections between the local church and the missionary on the field. We also work with churches in missions education and more!
Mission statement
To exalt Christ and engage people in mission by proclaiming the Gospel, doing good, and equipping the church.
Statement of faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God without error in the original writings (2 Timothy 3:16).
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Isaiah 45:22, Romans 11:36).
We believe that all people have sinned and come short of the glory of God; and that for the salvation of lost and sinful human beings, regeneration by the Holy Spirit through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ is absolutely essential (Romans 3:23, John 1:12, Titus 3:5).
We believe in the deity and virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ; that he died upon the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of the world that he arose from the dead and ascended into heaven from whence he will return with power and glory (John 10:3, I Timothy 2:5-6, II Corinthians 15:3-4, Titus 2:13).
We believe in the doctrine of justification by faith, realizing that it is impossible for anyone through works to save themselves (Romans 5:1, Ephesians 2:8-9).
We believe in life after death; that "There shall be resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust" (Acts 24:15).
We believe in the resurrection of the saved unto everlasting life in heaven and the resurrection of the unsaved unto eternal punishment in hell (I Thessalonians 4:16-17, II Thessalonians 1:7-9).
We believe that it is the responsibility of all believers in Christ to share the good news of Jesus as Savior and Lord to all people of the world. We believe we should do this in deeds of love and proclamation. We are therefore concerned about the physical, social, and spiritual needs of all people (Acts 1:8, Matthew 25:35-40).
We believe the following concerning marriage, gender, and sexuality.
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Genesis 1:26-27.) Rejection of one's biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
We believe that the term "marriage" has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Genesis 2:18-25.) We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. (1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4.) We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.
We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God. (Matthew 15:18-20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.)
We believe that it is imperative that all persons employed by the corporation in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, agree to and abide by this Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality. (Matthew 5:16; Philippians 2:14-16; 1 Thessalonians 5:22.)
We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.)
We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.) Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the beliefs of the corporation.

History
Global was originally founded in 1971 by several Mississippi businessmen under the name Agricultural Missions Foundation. It was first established to conduct missionary work in Ecuador and Latin America using agricultural training. More missionaries in other areas were eventually drawn to the organization due to its low boundaries policies and flexibility, and so the name was eventually changed to Global Outreach International in reflection of our missionaries' greater geographic reach and varied ministries.
