Purpose
To provide an education that is excellent in academics and unwavering in its foundation on God's Word.
Mission statement
Training, equipping, and educating students to impact the world for Jesus.
Statement of faith
We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative word of God.
We believe in one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His substitutionary and atoning death, in His resurrection from the dead, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His eventual, personal return to power and glory.
We believe in the necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation due to the exceeding sinfulness of humanity; and that individuals are justified by grace through faith solely by the accomplished work of Christ.
We believe in the resurrection of those so saved to glorification in heaven and of all others to damnation in hell.
We believe in the spiritual unity of all true believers in Christ.

History
1980: A prayer group of members from First Baptist Church in Bryan, TX started researching and planning what it would take to start a Christian school which integrated God and His principles into every subject taught to their children throughout the day.
The Gardner, Lawless, Lundberg, Reese and Shellenberger families took up the banner and did the heavy lifting to make Brazos Christian School a reality.
1981: Brazos Christian School opened its doors for the first time on the campus of the United Freewill Baptist Church on Tabor Road. Three small classrooms were made available to the school, and that first year featured four kindergartners and 13 students in grades 1st - 6th.
1982: In its second year, BCS grew to 69 enrolled students and had to move locations to the Grace Bible Church campus.
In the third year, 129 students enrolled at BCS. To accommodate this growth, eight portables were purchased from Snook I.S.D. and placed around the Grace Bible Church gymnasium.
Trina Rigsby was hired as the school's librarian, nurse and office manager. She exhibited a passion for reading and planted this deeply within the hearts of the students at BCS. Mrs. Rigsby served as the school's librarian until she lost her battle with cancer in 1996. The school's library was named after her to honor and commemorate all of the Rigsby family's contributions to the school.
Brazos Christian School moved to its current location on approx. 30 acres on West Villa Maria Road.
Brazos Christian School held its first graduation ceremony for its first graduating class, which featured five seniors.
