Purpose
THE WORK
The work of Global Media Outreach begins when seekers find one of Global Media Outreach's more than 250 websites. Here, more than 1.6 billion visits to Gospel presentations have been made since 2004, and more than 177 million indicated decisions for Christ have occurred. Global Media Outreach has presented the Gospel to people from 195 countries across the globe. Global Media Outreach's team of more than 4,000 Online Missionaries has served tens of millions of people seeking Jesus around the world.
THE VISION
In September of 2013, Global Media Outreach was able to utilize cutting-edge technology to present the Gospel more than 2.4 million times in a single day. This was just a glimpse into the vision of Global Media Outreach. As the leading pioneer in media-technology evangelism and discipleship, Global Media Outreach aims to amplify efforts in order to give everyone on earth multiple opportunities to accept Jesus Christ -- see hundreds of millions receive Him--build them in their faith and then connect them to Christian movements everywhere.
THE IMPACT
Every day, hundreds of thousands of people around the world land on a Global Media Outreach Gospel presentation and tens of thousands of people indicate decisions to follow Christ. With on-the-ground partners all over the world, Global Media Outreach is able to connect many online contacts to Christian communities on the ground, which helps bring up countless new leaders in the worldwide church.
THE TECHNOLOGY
When individuals request follow-up, Global Media Outreach is prepared with Online Missionaries in more than 100 countries. Combined, Global Media Outreach's diverse team of Online Missionaries can respond in 26 different languages. Online Missionaries use a special system Global Media Outreach has developed that provides safety and security to those communicating. With mobile traffic increasing, Global Media Outreach developed a way to allow seekers to connect with Online Missionaries through this safe messaging system. Those who aren't ready to connect are still able to grow their faith by downloading one of two mobile discipleship apps developed by Global Media Outreach.

History
2004 - A man is given a vision. Years ago, before the Internet was on your phone or in your home, Global Media Outreach founder, Walt Wilson sits at an MIT meeting when God sparks an idea.
2007 - The truth of the Gospel is spreading. As online ads explode, the Internet proves to be the most effective and efficient approach to reach the lost. Our developers create a secure response system our volunteer Online Missionaries use to safely communicate with the influx of people responding to Gospel presentations.
2009 - Millions of people are coming to Jesus. In a blink of an eye, we share the gospel with 66 million people on more than 100 websites across 14 languages, and more than 10 million make a decision to follow Jesus.
A vision becomes a reality. Six years ahead of schedule, we reach out first milestone and share the Gospel with 1 billion people.
2019 - Reaching people at home. In efforts to reach the spiritually-broken walls of the US, we create the campaign, 'Jesus has Something Better For You' to communicate the relevance of Jesus in our modern world.
2020 - Closing the gap. This is the year we reach 2 billion people with the Gospel, and we're committed to pedal faster, work harder, and become more efficient in reaching those have not yet heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.
2021 - GMO acquires the online ministry Explore God, vastly increasing the amount of Gospel content geared toward younger generations and Americans.
