Alaska Christian College (ACC) was founded in July of 2000 to meet post-secondary educational needs of Alaska Native students. ACC opened its doors on September 16, 2001 to 22 students from 13 different tribal and ethnic groups from seven different states, 18 of whom were of Native Alaskans/American ethnic origin. Since that first class, ACC has served more than 250 students, more than 90% of whom are Alaska Native.
