History

GenFi Ministries was founded in 1950 under the name Church Extension Plan by the Superintendent of the Oregon District of the Assemblies of God. Today, we are organized and operated by member districts of the Assemblies of God. In 2025, Church Extension Plan became GenFi Ministries-a new name that reflects both our expanding services and our unwavering mission. While our name has changed, our purpose remains the same: to provide financial solutions that empower ministries to grow, thrive, and impact generations for the Kingdom of God. GenFi stands for generational impact and financial strength, values that continue to shape everything we do.
