Mission statement
Partnering with the Church to mobilize reproducing disciples among all peoples, emphasizing the unreached.
Statement of faith
- We believe that marriage is the sacrament/ordinance of the Church which has been established by God. The Church/CinA defines marriage as the exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment. A civil government's sanction of a union will be recognized as a legitimate marriage by the church/CinA only to the extent that it is consistent with the definition of "marriage" found in these articles and Statement of Faith.
- We believe that legitimate sexual relations are exercised solely within marriage. Hence, sexual activities outside of marriage (referred to in the New Testament as "Porneia") including, but not limited to adultery, premarital sex, homosexuality, and pedophilia are inconsistent with the teaching of the Bible and the Church. Further, lascivious conduct, transgender behavior, and the creation and/or distribution and/or viewing of pornography, are incompatible with the biblical witness.
- We believe every missionary, board member, employee, or volunteer shall affirm their agreement with this Statement of Faith which includes marriage and human sexuality, and shall conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent therewith.

History
Christians In Action originated with Rev. Lee Shelley as the first president in 1957, with the byline of "WINNING THE LOST ACROSS THE STREET AND AROUND THE WORLD". Incorporated as Missionary and Soul Winning Fellowship in 1958, the name was changed to Christians In Action in 1974. The core of missionary development and sending was the compact training program which enabled many missionaries to enter their field within 12-16 months.
Program accomplishments
CinA's ministries are centered on evangelism, discipleship, and church planting, which includes Bible schools, pre-schools, day-care, disaster relief, and self-help projects. From North America there are annual events that help create mission awareness as well as encourage Christians to serve in needy areas of the world. More recently this has meant an annual short-term emphasis to Columbia, the Philippines and Cambodia, using pastors conferences, evangelistic crusades, and small and large-scale medical missions/evangelism outreaches.
Needs
There is a need for couples and singles to be involved with developing ministries and networking with local churches in most of the countries around the world. They should be dedicated to evangelism, discipleship and church planting.
There is a need for concerned Christians to stand with the missionaries around the world in prayer.
Faithful donors that can be steadfast and faithful throughout the life of the ministry and missionary is key for multi-generational impact.
The International Headquarters is staffed by those that have a worldview for missions and provide for key financial and administrative services and therefore are worthy of financial support.
